"The Minister of Information and Broadcasting shall not sit with his eyes shut if the honour of the Indian woman is compromised. I can issue notice to such magazines," the Minister, Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, told reporters in response to a question on the issue.

The same magazine was caught in a controversy recently when it printed similar photos of filmstar Khushboo, who took it to court.

"I strongly condemn this .... We are quite aware of the matter and watching it closely", Dasmunsi said.

Reports said the Delhi Police have registered a case against the magazine and was conducting inquiries.
