A British national today entered the premises of Sri Jagannath temple, which is out of bounds for foreigners, sending its officials into a tizzy.

Twenty five-year-old Steven Galaro was handed over to the police by temple workers.

The tourist was allowed to go after verification of his antecedents as there is no rule for taking action in such cases, a senior official of the temple administration DP
Panda said.

As Galaro had not entered the sanctum sanctorum, temple rituals remained unaffected, he said.
