Now, the BSNL will provide a rent-free landline connection to its Cell-One subscribers for six months. The Cell One subscribers using the Plan 325/525 or 725 will be entitled to the offer. While the phone will be installed free of cost and no rent will be charged for six months, one will be liable to pay for the outgoing calls at the rate of Rs 1.20 per minute (for each local call).

Announcing this Diwali offer at a press conference here today, UP (East) Circle CGM Omvir Singh said that after six months free landline connection would be shifted to the BSNL general plan or some other existing plan as per the request of the customer. The facility will remain available for 90 days, he added.
