The party’s Uttar Pradesh unit president Ramachal Rajbhar said Prasad didn’t mend his ways despite earlier warnings and was expelled on Wednesday.

Earlier, Rajya Sabha MP Jugul Kishore, former Lok Sabha MP Dara Singh Chauhan, former Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Das were shown the door for raising their voice against the party chief.

On Wednesday morning, Prasad alleged, “Mayawati had sold tickets during the Rajya Sabha and the Legislative council elections and is now selling tickets for 2017 state elections…. The ruling rate is Rs 1 crore to Rs 50 lakh. She is 'running ticket for money scheme' in the party. I opposed this and was shown the door.”

Prasad is one of the founding members of the party and enjoys a considerable influence in the Bundelkhand region, especially in Chitrakoot. He represents the Manikpur assembly seat and had served as a minister in the BSP government during 2007- 12.
