“All those in BSP call her (Mayawati) ‘behenji’ irrespective of their age. But I call her “Buaji”, Yadav said while addressing an election rally here.

Akhilesh also made light of the Gujarat model of development and said there was an SP wave in the ongoing elections.

In a public meeting at Faizabad on Wednesday, SP chief Mulayam had said, “Ab ise srimati kahen ya kunwari beti, kya kahen behen kahen” (should I call Mayawati Mrs, unmarried daughter or sister.” Mayawati had retorted, “He (Mulayam) has lost his mental balance due to fear of defeat in the Lok Sabha elections.”

On Thursday, the BSP demanded the Election Commission to ban Mulayam from campaigning in Uttar Pradesh for his remark against Mayawati.
