A day after the Allahabad high court quashed the acquisition of about 600 hectares of land in village Patwari, builders failed to find a solution to the woes of homebuyers. Builders continued to blame the authority for the crisis and maintained that they would challenge the court order in the Supreme Court.
On Wednesday, a group of developers met Greater Noida chairperson Mohinder Singh to discuss the situation.As for the problem in village Patwari, builders said they were waiting a detailed copy of the high court judgment and to know the locational details of the affected areas. Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (CREDAI) vice-president Geetamber Anand hoped the SC would take "a holistic view" of the matter.
Amrapali group CMD Anil Sharma said the onus was on the state government to find a solution to the problem. Parts of Amrapali's projects La Residentia, Ultra Home and Leisure Valley have been affected by the high court order. RK Arora of Supertech said he would claim the losses from the authority. Supertech's Eco Village 1, in which more than 1000 houses have been affected, falls in village Patwari. His project Eco Village II has already been hit in village Shahberi.
