The Bombay High Court on Thursday directed the Maharashtra government to file a reply to a PIL alleging corruption in purchase of bullet-proof jackets for Mumbai police.

Petitioner's advocate Y P Singh, a former IPS officer, argued because of faulty jackets, former ATS chief Hemant Karkare died during the 26/11 terror attacks.
