A bus carrying 65 members of a marriage party fell into a gorge near Devidura in the district on Friday.

A bus carrying 65 members of a marriage party fell into a gorge near Devidura in the district on Friday.
The accident occurred at Jamanpura when the bus was returning from Mollakot village in Champawat district to Palamgaon in Almora, officials in Champawat said.
The bus fell into a 300-metre deep gorge, they said.
A team of officials rushed to the scene of the mishap to launch rescue operations and ascertain the number of people killed, they said.
