Business rivalry leaves one dead, two injured

One person died while two others were injured in a clash between rival business groups which took a bloody turn, police sources said.

Shakib, Saeem and Haji Khan were participating in a business meeting on Friday at Purwa Illahi Baksh within the Kotwali of Meerut, when they picked up a fight with their rivals Gulzar, Shehzad and others, SSP Rajeev Sabbharwal said.

The two groups had a heated exchange of words after which one group fired some rounds injuring Shakib, Saeem and Haji Khan.

The injured were rushed to the Sushila Rai Jaswant hospital where Shakib died.

Police teams has been rushed to nab the assailants, Sabbharwal said.
