CAG report on 2G spectrum scam indicts Raja: TV report

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) in its report on the 2G spectrum scam has indicted telecom minister A Raja in the scandal and said the allocation was doctored to benefit few operators.

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) in its report on the 2G spectrum scam has indicted telecom minister A Raja in the scandal and said the allocation was doctored to benefit few operators.

According to CNN-IBN the Telecom department sold out precious national assets cheaply while Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) was a helpless spectator in the whole process, .

According to the CAG report, Raja ignored advice from everyone including the finance ministry regarding allocations, the channel said.

The report said that Raja's decision cost the government over Rs 90,000 crore-1,40,000 crore.
