Cakewalks continue in interschool basketball

ST THOMAS School, St Joseph?s Co-Ed School, St Xavier?s School and Red Rose School on Saturday won their respective matches in the St Thomas Interschool Basketball Tournament being organised on the school premises.

ST THOMAS School, St Joseph’s Co-Ed School, St Xavier’s School and Red Rose School on Saturday won their respective matches in the St Thomas Interschool Basketball Tournament being organised on the school premises.

The comfortable victories continued on the second day of the tournament also. International Public School (IPS), which had an easy win on Friday, tasted defeat against a strong St Joseph’s Co-Ed School. IPS scored only five points in the match against the 42 points by the opponents. The Josephites dominated every department of the game.

Army School was second team of the tournament that tasted defeat after winning the match on the inaugural day. Army School lost the match 19-32 to St Xavier’s.

Red Rose School, however, maintained the rhythm by winning the match against   Mithi Gobindram. Red Rose won 39-16. Hosts St Thomas thrashed People’s Public School 47-04.
