The director, along with the movie's stars Weaver, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez, flew to Bahrain in January to showcase their award-winning film at a military base and aboard two battleships, reports imdb.com.

Cameron's ex-marine brother, John D. Cameron, was thrilled with his sibling's morale-boosting visit.

"Showing Avatar to the troops was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To do something for the men and women who serve our country was a great privilege," said John D. Cameron.
