Guha, 59, was the editor of Dainik Arohan. He was suffering from cancer and is survived by his wife and two daughters.

"Guha had battled cancer for one year. His condition deteriorated during the past few weeks and the end came on Friday," Guha's younger brother Tarun said.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his cabinet colleagues as well as journalists condoled the death of Guha.
