All the 11 crew members on board 'Indramani' escaped unhurt in a safety boat when the cargo ship started sinking after being caught in rough weather, resulted due to cyclonic storm 'Phyan' in the Arabian sea, they said.

"The crew members who escaped in the safety boat were spotted by some fishermen who brought them back to Veraval," the officials said.

The consignment belonged to a Gujarat-based chemical company which was being shipped to Calicut in Kerala. The company authorities are assessing the damages and would be filing a detailed report with the GMB soon, they said.
