James Bond's latest 007 film, Casino Royal has become the most successful of Bond movies at the box office, generating £232 million in cinemas worldwide so far.
The film, which saw Daniel Craig make his debut as 007, surpassed the former record of £220 million set by Die Another Day in 2002, according to the Screen Daily. It was the first Ian Fleming' Bond novel which was made into a sort of spoof with David Niven. The real thing this time, the Casino film was screened in 64 countries.
Meanwhile the last book in the Harry Potter series is also expected to break all previous records with the excitement already building up as to who will die. Both the evil Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter have been leading the field in betting on who will kill the schoolboy wizard in the last of the popular book series, British bookmaker William Hill has said.
Almost all British bookmakers are taking bets. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy are the current front-runners with 6-1 odds - after Voldemort, that is, who remains the odds-on favorite at 4-5.
Money has also been placed on other Harry Potter events occurring: Ron and Hermione getting married with Harry as best man; Ron and Hermione to have a child called Harry; and Ron to kill Draco Malfoy in a duel.
Hundreds of fans have already been commenting. One said, "I think Rons gonna die..…" another commented, " haha... interesting theories... i dunno if there would be a wedding between the two. I'm thinking there's gonna be some kind of epilouge that'll sum up what happened to everyone. I dunno. cool tho." Another one is praying. "I have had a lot of people ask if I think Harry will die. I am preparing myself for the worst and praying for the best."
