The first computer-based Common Admission Test (CAT) across the country's 104 centres remained largely hassle free today on the fifth day barring the two labs which remained closed as declared earlier, IIMA officials said here.
"We have been told by Prometric, the agency conducting the test on behalf of all IIMs, that tests were hassle free today at all centres," CAT convener Satish Deodhar told PTI.
"Barring the two labs which remained closed, as declared yesterday, test went on smoothly," he said.
Meanwhile, some students appearing for CAT at L J Institute of Management Studies here faced difficulties due to power cut during the exam.
The institute authorities used a generator to restore power supply and alloted extra time to the students to complete the test.
Yesterday, 26 labs across the country remained closed while some glitches disrupted the test at 10 labs which were later resolved.
The US-based firm Prometric has been given contract by the IIMs to computerise the prestigious CAT examinations.
In a press statement issued by Prometric, its CEO Charlie Kernan said, "Several enhancements are being made to the testing environment including more advanced virus and malware protection and configuration changes."
