Deepak Kumar, posted at the Economic Offences Wing of the agency, was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant at his residence in Ghatkopar in Mumbai as part of first installment.
The complainant had claimed the officer had threatened to arrest him in connection with a case in which he was named in the FIR but not in the chargesheet, if a bribe amount of Rs 50,000 was not paid, a CBI spokesperson said.
