CBI chargesheets two IIT officials for seeking bribe

CBI has filed a chargesheet against two engineers of IIT for allegedly demanding bribe from a contractor.

CBI has filed a chargesheet against two engineers of the Electrical Department of the Indian Institute of Technology in the capital for allegedly demanding bribe from a contractor for awarding contracts.

Assistant Executive Engineer Rafat Jamal and Junior Engineer Pradeep Verma were chargesheeted for allegedly demanding Rs 3,500 from a contractor for awarding contracts in future, a CBI release said on Thurday.

The arrest came after the contractor complained to the CBI and the agency laid a trap to nab the officails.
