Acting on a tip-off that adulterated milk was being supplied to various military installations in the city from the farm, a team of CBI officials raided its premises on Saturday and Sunday, an investigating official told PTI on Monday.

“We have collected samples of milk and sachets of milk powder during the raids and sent them for examination to a government laboratory here,” he said, adding that the report is expected in three to four days.

So far, no one was taken into custody in this connection.

“Once we receive the report, action will be taken,” the CBI official said.

It was revealed that the dairy farm supplies 5,000 litres of milk every day. Of which, 2,000 litres are produced by the cattle owned by the farm and the remaining 3,000 litres of milk are purchased from Vijaya Dairy.

Of the 5,000 litres, 2,000 litres were sold in the market through private people who collect milk from the military dairy.
