A six-member CBI team, during the raid asked the registrar of the NIT in Hamirpur to hand over to it all the records related to the recruitment of the faculties in last three years since the new director I K Bhat joined it, NIT sources said.

The raid followed complaint of members of NIT Teachers' Association which alleged that the management did not follow the prescribed norms in filling the vacancies for the teaching staff, the sources said.

The Association had earlier sent copies of the complaint to Union HRD minister Arjun Singh and various other agencies of the central government dealing with the institution, they said.
