CBI sought closure of the case saying it was impossible to get Rauschen Dictor from Germany and hence the matter should be dropped.

The investigative agency had registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act in September 1966 and filed a chargesheet in June 1971.

Dictor was charged of accepting bribe while working for an electronic firm.

He, however, managed to leave India in February 1971 and never returned, even after been declared Proclaimed Offender and the CBI and the Interpol issuing notice against him.
