The CCTV, to be installed soon, will ascertain whether the RJD MP is really critically ill as alleged by the Opposition, the state's Home Secretary, Afzal Amanullah, said on Saturday.

There has been a "lot of noise" over Shahabuddin's condition and the CCTV will give a "fair" idea of that, Amanullah said.

Meanwhile, the medical team despatched by the state government on Friday to Siwan to examine Shahabuddin, who is reportedly suffering from serious spinal problem, has submitted its report to the Home Secretary, Health Secretary Deepak Prasad said without divulging its contents.

Amanullah, when asked about the recommendations of the medical team, said that he had not gone through the report.

The medical team, according to health department sources, who insisted on anonymity, had maintained that Shahabuddin's condition was not very serious and that he could be provided treatment at the Siwan jail itself.

The medical team, headed by Director-in-Chief (health) Captain Shyam Narain Singh, included Dr Vijay Prakash (HoD) of medicine department, Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Dr Arjun Singh (HoD) (orthopaedics), Dr Arun Agarwal (HoD) (neurology) and Dr Anil Pandey (HoD) (nephrology).
