CD shows Manu confession to police

Prime accused Manu Sharma confesses of having killed Jessica in a CD recorded by the police.

Jessica Lall case witnessed an appalling revelation on Monday when a private news channel showed prime accused Manu Sharma confessing his guilt of having killed her.

This revelation may put Delhi Police in a spot as there is a strong probability that Manu Sharma's statement was not used by the police against him.

Now the Delhi Police will have to answer why wasn't the evidence used before.

Model-turned-bartender Jessica Lall was shot dead in a restaurant owned by socialite Bina Ramani on April 29, 1999 and Manu Sharma's statement was recorded on a CD seven days later.

It's a piece of evidence that could leave egg on Delhi Police's face, as they would have to explain why it wasn't used before.

The CD has been presented to the Delhi High Court.
