The Centre has sanctioned a package of Rs 1618.41 crore for proper rehabilitation of displaced families in Kashmir Valley.

Giving this information on Thursday, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Raman Bhalla said 3000 flats out of a total of 4218 for Kashmiri migrants being constructed at a cost of Rs 294 crore at Jagti in Nagrota township, will be ready by December.
The allotments would be made next year, he said.
The central government has also approved a revised proposal of Rs 321.98 crore for construction of additional accommodation including old age home, common facilities centre, shopping complex, post office and bank facilities there.
He said pre-fabricated quarters to accommodate migrants had been constructed at Vessu in Anantnag district at a cost of Rs 30 crore.
