Centre should take control of BCCI: Lalu

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday said that the Centre government should take over Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after accepting resignations of officials involved in IPL betting scandal.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday said that the Centre government should take over Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after accepting resignations of officials involved in IPL betting scandal.

Lalu said this while attending a private function at Garhi Bolni village of Rewari district on Sunday.

On the land acquisition policy of Haryana, he said: "The state government should take farmers into confidence before acquiring their agricultural land. Industrialists should deal with farmers directly so that they can get better remunerations for land."

Giving assurance to poor people, Lalu said those in needy would be provided with cost-effective food and The Centre would likely to hold a special session of Parliament soon.
State power minister Capt Ajay Yadav and BJP state president Ram Bilas Sharma were present at the function.
