Salman Khan will get to know on Friday if he will be let out of jail on bail when his revision petition in the Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High Court is heard.
The bench of Justice HR Panwar said that it would be better to hear Salman’s petition after going through the record of the case. He had therefore adjourned the hearing till Friday.
The record of the case with the court of the chief judicial magistrate, who had sentenced the film star to five years in jail in a Chinkara poaching case, is expected to be handed over to the High Court bench on Friday morning, according to Salman’s lawyer HM Saraswat.
Salman has been in the Jodhpur jail since August 25 after his appeal was rejected by the District and Sessions Judge, Jodhpur.
Meanwhile, the Director General (Prisoners) of Rajasthan Kanwaldeep Singh Bains, has taken serious note of media reports suggesting that the actor was being given preferential treatment and undue privileges by the jail authorities. A DIG has been assigned to go to the jail and verify the reports

{{/usCountry}}In addition to this, the jail superintendent was reported to have allowed as many as seven people to meet the actor in last five days though the rules permit only blood relatives to visit him.
The focus of the reports was on former Rajasthan minister Bina Kak, who met Salman beyond the permitted time.
DIG (Prisons) Mukut Bihari Purohit arrived in Jodhpur on Thursday and visited the jail. However, he was not available for comment.
DG Bains told the Hindustan Times over telephone that “after learning about the media reports that he was given some special concessions, we have to check the reality.”
