While Delhi Police claim to have cracked three terror attack cases that rocked the country, Bangalore police are yet to confirm the arrested Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives’ involvement in the Chinnaswamy Stadium blast of 2010.
Delhi Police announced a reward of R15 lakh on Thursday for anyone providing information on Bhatkal.
Delhi Police sources say they are on the lookout for eight more IM operatives who were responsible for the attacks on German Bakery, Jama Masjid and Chinnaswamy Stadium. Yasin Bhatkal, 27, a resident of Bhatkal in Karnataka, is one of them.
Additional commissioner of police, Bangalore, T Sunil Kumar said a team had left for Delhi to ascertain the claim made by Delhi police. “A team led by ACP Nyame Gowda left soon after the arrest. We are yet to hear from them,” Kumar said.
A team of Intelligence Bureau officials (IB), meanwhile, arrived in Bhatkal on Thursday. The National Investigation Agency members are accompanying them. Sources said they will also investigate the accused arrested in connection with the Bangalore serial blast case who are now in judicial custody.
A senior police official said the city police will seek custody of the men arrested by Delhi police after the latter complete their investigation.

{{/usCountry}}There are contradictory reports regarding the whereabouts of Bhatkal. Despite reports that he has left for Pakistan or Bangladesh, the police claim he is very much in India. It is said that he was in Chennai when the operatives were arrested a week ago, but he managed to give police the slip.
