The reply has been sought from the officials within two weeks.

This comes after ten people including six women were killed and about 18 injured in a stampede that broke out on occasion of Somvati Amavasya at Kamtanath Pahad Temple in Chitakoot on Monday.

The commission has asked the collector and SP to further explain why no lessons were learnt from earlier incidents at various temples in the state.
