According to experts, the accreditation from the NABH is considered the acknowledgement of quality services provided by any healthcare facility.

“A certificate of accreditation by NABH is a benchmark of being in the league of those who are the best. It motivates a hospital to constantly work towards providing quality care to its patients,” said Dr Devlina Chakravarty, medical director of Artemis Health Institute.

Some of the hospitals accredited by the board include Medanta-the Medicity, Paras Hospital, and Columbia Asia Hospital, while several others, such as Alchemist and Sanjivan, have already applied for the certification.

“We are in the process of getting the NABH accreditation. Nearly 18 months back we started operating in the city and in just this short span of time we are working towards accreditation,” said Ritender Singh Tomar, administrator of Alchemist Hospital. A team of experts from NABH visits the hospital and assess the quality of services before giving accreditation to the facility.
