Ever since the route was opened for public in June last year, not even a single CCTV camera has been installed at any five Metro stations in Gurgaon or stations that fall on the line before Mehrauli in Delhi.

Officials of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) claimed that the wiring has been completed but the CCTV device is not available at present. It will be procured soon.

“We are completing the work on top priority. Due to other civil works, the cameras could not be installed. It will be done within a couple of months,” said a DMRC official.

“There is not even a single CCTV camera in any Gurgaon Metro station and few of the Delhi stations have been waiting for the installations for more than a year,” said a CISF official on condition of anonymity.
