Due to fear of these monkeys, residents have restricted their movements.

The authority on the other hand find it difficult to catch these rowdy animals.

Residents have stopped their children from going to the parks. Even senior citizens do not feel safe to go out on walks. Talking about the menace, Kamlesh Nath, a resident of DLF, Phase I, Block G, said, “This place has become dangerous, it is actually scary to move out, though authorities are co-operating but we know how we are managing. We keep our doors and windows close and avoid going out on walks. And even if we go out we do not forget to carry a walking stick.”

“Nearly three months ago, about 12 people were bitten by monkeys here in this society. My gardener was the recent target of theses monkeys,” said Sameer Tripathi, vice president,
South City Resident Welfare Association (RWA).
