Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday hoped that a solution would soon be found to impasse over Delhi government’s decision not to allow entry of UPSRTC buses from National Capital Regional in Delhi. Chief Minister justified his government’s move to confer “Yash Bharati” award on the young actor Abhishek Bachchan.
Chief Minister was replying to questions from media persons. Referring to the Delhi government’s decision to seize the UPSRTC buses plying from NCR to Delhi the Chief Minister said Delhi chief minister Sheela Dixit belonged to Uttar Pradesh. “Uttar Pradesh has contributed a lot to rise of Dixit in politics. Whatever she has gained she owes it to Uttar Pradesh,” said the Chief Minister adding that he hoped that a solution to the issue would be found at the Thursday’s meeting between Delhi Chief Minister and Uttar Pradesh Minister for Transport Naresh Agarwal. “I am not aware of the cause behind the Delhi’s government’ ire against UPSRTC buses,” he said the Delhi government was also initiating moves against a park in the NOIDA area. “Delhi government wants to destroy the park by constructing a flyover,” said Chief Minister.
Replying to a question the Chief Minister justified his government’s move to confer Yash Bharati award on Abhishek Bachchan. “Abhishek is a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He has made a mark on the international film arena,” said the Chief Minister adding that his government proposed to confer the “Yash Bharati” award on the young Bachchan in pursuance of the policy he had announced in 1994. “Award to Abhishek Bachchan would only enhance Uttar Pradesh’s honour,” he said adding there was no justification behind questioning proposed honour to young Bachchan.

{{/usCountry}}The Chief Minister also denied allegations that the officers posted at NOIDA were involved in corruption. “There are no charges against the NOIDA officers,” said the Chief Minister adding that he was ready to look into charges if they were brought to his notice. Replying to another question the CM said he hoped that Anant Gupta the son of Adobe India CEO Naresh Gupta would soon be released. “I will speak to officers again,” said chief minister adding efforts were being made to get Anant released soon. CM called centre weak and said even countries like China were claiming that Arunachal Pradesh was its part.
