CM inaugurates Rs 10-crore bridge in Kullu

Chief minister Virbhadra Singh on Saturday inaugurated 96-metre-long double-lane bridge over the Beas river at Bhoothnath in Kullu, constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

He also inauguarted the training centre-cum-multipurpose building at Sarabai, which has been constructed by Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) at a cost of Rs 2.85 crore.

This building has six suits and a conference hall with video conferencing facility, which would be used for training of employees.

Later he inaugurated a tehsil building at Bhuntar, constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. The building has been constructed in just seven days by Synergy Thrislington Construction Company, a Chandigarh-based company, using pre-fabricated structure, which is weather, fire and earthquake proof.

The CM also laid the foundation stone of another building of tehsil office, which would be completed in three months by Synergy Thrislington.

He laid another foundation stone of a tourist information centre at Bhuntar, which would be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh. This three storied building would have parking facility in the basement, tourist information centre, cafeteria, besides other facilities.

He said Rs 92 lakh had been provided to augment the drinking water supply scheme of Surad-Khokan village.
