WITHOUT EVEN once mentioning Uma Bharti’s name, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today made it loud and clear to the people of Bundelkhand that he rather than the expelled BJP leader could take care of the peoples’ developmental aspirations better.
His series of announcements in the heart of Bundelkahnd, considered Uma Bharti’s bastion, were as much anticipated as these were applauded by the people in the public meeting at Katra Bazaar here on Friday evening.
Even as the Chief Minister kept his speech focussed on development issues, he obliquely castigated Uma Bharti in a chat with newsmen when confronted with the question about future of the BJP. “The BJP is not a rasgulla that anybody can eat,” he quipped.
He said his journey was for development of the State. If there has to be any yatra it should be development oriented only.

{{/usCountry}}Addressing a mammoth meeting, Chouhan announced setting up of a medical college in Sagar. The gathering applauded the announcement as the demand for medical college is nearly four decades old.
Singh said Rs 100 crore would be spent on the proposed medical college in three years time. Initially, the 300-bed district hospital would be attached to it and later, a 500-bed hospital would be a part of the medical college.
