Four more people lost their lives in Uttar Pradesh due to intense cold, taking the total number of death in this season to 57.

The cold-related deaths were reported from Mahoba, Azamgarh, Jaunpur and Ballia districts on Monday, sources said.
According to the Met department, Sarsawan airport in Saharanpur district was recorded the lowest temperature in the state with minus 2.8 degree celsius.
The state capital recorded a low of 4.4 degree celsius, which was three degrees below normal. However, the day temperature was 17.1 degree celsius, which was six degrees below normal.
