Compensation to be given to victims' families

The Gujarat government on Sunday announced a financial assistance of Rs one lakh to the kin of those killed in the hotel building collapse in Kalupur area of the city.

The aid would be given from the Chief Minister's relief fund, officials sources said.

Five persons have died in the collapse of the hotel building and many more are fear trapped inside the debris. Rescue operations are on at the site.
