THE LAXMIRATTAN Cotton Mills (LRCM) authorties lodged complaint with the Fazalganj police against an occupant of the mills officer colony for harassing his neighbour.

According to information, complain has been lodged against Abhya Mehta, occupant of Banglow number 2 and 13 in the said complex. On April 23, 2004, a resident of Banglow number 1-A, Mohamd Hamza, who is working with LRCM as safety officer found drops of acid in his room, leaking from the ceiling.
Hamza went to check the roof in Banglow number 1-B located on the top floor of his residence. He inquired from Mehta and his servant about the source of acid, which was leaking from Hamza’s room ceiling, but no satisfactory reply was received by Hamza from their end. Therefore, he removed the tiles of the room’s floor and found that acid had been poured from there.
The matter was reported to LRCM authorties and after making initial investigation by the mill authorties, it was reported to Fazalganj police through official channel by the LRCM authorties.
The sources said that due to leakage of the acid, furniture and few curtains of the Hamza’s room got damage. Hamza demanded from the mill authorties that the incident might cause damage to ceiling of the room and also sought assessment of damage through the technical experts.
Talking to the Hindustan Times, general manager of the LRCM Gulab Singh expressed concern over the incident and said that such incident would be checked in future.
