"We strongly condemn the demolition of Lahore's only temple. ...This incident has exposed Pakistan government's false claim to protect Sikh and Hindu shrines", Anees Durrani, Secretary, AICC's minority department, said in a statement.
Durrani appealed to the central government to lodge a strong protest with Pakistan in this respect.
He said it was more painful that the demolition took place by the approval of Pakistan's Evacuee Trust Property Board, which looks after the properties of minorities in the country.
The Krishna Mandir was recently demolished to pave way for the construction of a commercial building.
