The Congress would also press for a CBI probe on the "involvement" of top BJP leaders in the matter. It will also urge the EC to ensure that all those involved in the “conceptualisation, release and distribution” of the CD do not contest the UP polls.

Sibal said "There is a provision in the Symbol's Order that if a party uses campaign material which could create trouble in the country, their symbols and recognition can be taken away."

Sibal said he could not believe that the top brass of BJP, including LK Advani and Venkaiah Naidu, who is in-charge of UP, were not aware of the controversial CD. "He (Rajnath) should retire from politics as he is better for joining theatre. Anyway he is enacting a drama (by courting arrest)."
