Congress on Sunday expelled 77 rebels, including veteran leader Arjun Singh's nephew KK Singh, former state ministers Pratap Singh Baghel and Ashok Sable, for contesting the assembly elections against the official party candidates.

Deputy Chief Minister Jamuna Devi's brother Dayaram Singhar and former state assembly deputy speaker Narmada Prasad Shrivastava are also among those expelled from the primary membership of the party for six years, party sources said.
The expelled leaders include former MLAs Chauhan Singh Chauhan, Sunil Mishra, VMP Verma and Budhsen Patel, they said, adding that the disciplinary action was taken by the state Congress General Secretary Govind Goyal on the directive of state unit president Radhakishan Malviya.
