Congress is contemplating the possibility of filing disqualification petition against Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) legislators, sources said.
Both the MGP legislators -- Sudin Dhavalikar and Deepak Dhavalikar -- had withdrawn support to the Congress-led government reducing it to minority.
"The disqualification petition is ready... We may file it anytime," a Congress legislator told PTI on the condition of anonymity.
The party is likely to file the petition either today or on Monday morning before State Legislative Assembly session begins.
The session is scheduled at 2.30 pm where financial demands would be passed.
With number game not favouring the Congress, the party is toying up with the possibility of disqualifying two MGP legislators, getting an edge over the rivals, sources stated.
If Speaker disqualifies the Dhavalikar duo, the Goa Democratic Alliance, a BJP-led formation, will be curtailed to 18.
The Congress has 19 legislators on their side, including Speaker. The Speaker can vote in case of a tie.
However, Congress has refused to divulge the grounds of disqualification.

{{/usCountry}}However, it is expected that the ruling party will seek disqualification of two legislators on the grounds that the they did not inform about the withdrawl of support and joined the rival group.
The MGP, in their petition to the President of India, on Friday, had raised possibility of such a disqualification.
The party had also alleged threatening and pressure tactics by ruling group asking them to reconsider their withdrawal.
