Congress circles were abuzz with speculations on Tuesday after it was revealed that 16 party MLAs are camping in Delhi and have sought appointment with the top party leader. It was speculated that the MLAs, led by party MLA from Surkhi Govind Rajput, are in Delhi to demand replacement of party state president Kantilal Bhuria. Other MLAs in the group include Kalpana Parulekar, Prabhuram Chaudhary, Nishith Patel, Tulsi Silawat and Vikram Singh.

When asked for comments, state media in-charge of the party Manak Agrawal said that the MLAs who have gone to Delhi have not said anything as regard their purpose and whatever is being said in the media or elsewhere is "mere rumour".

Some old party stalwarts like Gufran-e-Azam and Mahesh Joshi have been off and on been demanding removal of Kantilal Bhuria as the state Congress chief but it is for the first time that a sizeable number of party MLAs have come together to raise the banner of revolt against him.

As far as MLAs who were reported to be in Delhi, none of them picked up their cell phone when contacted to know the purpose of their Delhi visit.
