SEVERAL FUNCTIONS were organised by the Congress to pay homage to Sanjay Gandhi on his 26th death anniversary on Friday.
In a function organised at Shaheed Stambh, Motijheel, the activists of Youth Congress, led by district president of the organisation Pradeep Mishra, took a pledge not to take dowry. They also planted saplings.
At another function organised at Juhi, members of the district Congress committee paid floral tributes to Sanjay Gandhi. DCC general secretary Surendra Singh Rathore and other party workers took a pledge to plant 5,000 saplings in the city in the current year. A meeting was also organised at Ajmeri Hotel, Chamanganj, by local Congress leaders.
Another meeting was organised by the activists of the Youth Congress at camp office, Prem Nagar.
