Congress, allies to jointly decide UPA Convenor

The appointment of Convenor for the multi-party United Progressive Alliance would be decided jointly by Congress and its allies.

"There is no suspense over the issue... The appointment will be decided by Congress and the allies jointly," senior Congress leader Arjun Singh told reporters emerging from a meeting with CPM General Secretary Harkishan Singh Surjeet.

Singh, however, did not disclose as to what transpired during his meeting with the CPM veteran.
