Illegal constructions allegedly by conman Ashok Jadeja were removed on Saturday by the district authorities in Makarba area of the city.

"We had received several complaints of encroachment by Jadeja in Makarba area. We today demolished all the illegal constructions including his house and a said temple," Ahmedabad Collector Harit Shukla told PTI.

He said Jadeja had constructed a big house and a temple on government land.
Jadeja, who is presently in jail, was arrested last month for duping people of crores of rupees. He had collected money from them promising to triple it in few days.
He was arrested with his wife and Rs two crore cash. Subsequently, police also arrested his accomplices and recovered jwellery worth of crores from them.
