A policeman was injured on Monday in an ambush in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
Constable Basant Netam was injured in the ambush and subsequent shoot-out with the ultras near Golapalli of the same police station area, about 600 km from here, Dantewada district Superintendent of Police Praveer Das said.

The incident occurred when a police party was returning after a search operation, he said.
