A few companies are demonstrating their “employee-friendly” side by announcing half day’s leave on Wednesday. While some multiplexes in the city are screening the match, others are offering corporate bookings.

“People are taking half day off and we have not stopped them. It's quite understandable (to take leave),” said Alok Bhardwaj, senior vice president, Canon. Perfect Relations, a PR agency and C-Fore, a market research company in Gurgaon, are also following suit. “To foster team spirit, we are encouraging our people to dress in blue,” said Pawan Vaswani, director, Program Management at Sapient.

Likewise, a few companies are planning to screen the match on their office's LCD screens. These include Panasonic, Convergys, Miditech and Ericsson.
