Court summons Punjab CM in defamation case

A Chandigarh court issued summons to Punjab Chief Minister in a defamation suit filed by Youth Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal.

A Chandigarh court on Friday issued summons to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh in a defamation suit filed by Youth Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Chief Judicial Magistrate CL Mohal issued the summons for May 22 in a case, in which Sukhbir had accused the Chief Minister of launching a slanderous advertisement campaign through the media to defame the Akali leader and his family.
