CPI(M) activist stabbed to death in Kerala

The CPI(M) called for a day long strike on Thursday in Pannad area to protest the murder.

A CPI(M) activist was stabbed to death by a group of suspected RSS workers in the politically sensitive Meethale Punnad area late Tuesday night, police said.

Twenty-four year old KK Yakkoob was stabbed around 10 pm following a clash between rival groups in Kottathe Kunnu locality, police added.

The clash was a sequel to a similar incident that had taken place on Sunday in the area and Yakkoob was said to have been involved in that duel, they said.

The CPI(M) called for a day long strike on Thursday in Pannad area to protest the murder.
