Over three dozen complaints from candidates were registered with the dental varsity authorities.

As per the arrangements made by officials, the results of the candidates from Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal were displayed separately.

However, when the students logged on to the website, they got confused about their ranking. Some were ranked below those who had got fewer marks.

This happened due to a technical fault which led to merger of the list of students of the two states on the website.

The column mentioning the state remained blank. “We want to clarify that students from different states getting the same marks will have different ranks.

We are in the process of correcting the error on the website,” dental university registrar Rekha Gupta said.
